At the City of Surrey, we respect and protect the privacy of our customers and those who use our websites. The following Privacy information provides details about how your personal information is collected and used. This privacy statement applies to all e-bulletin email broadcasts or related newsletter information supplied by joining any of the City's e-mail based interest groups.

Information Collection and Use 

The City of Surrey is the sole owner of information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. We use collected contact information to send users relevant information about the City and its services and interest groups as defined by the person who voluntarily signs up for that information. By signing up for the City's e-bulletins, you will only receive concise and relevant reminder notices related to the interest groups you select. You will receive 12 or fewer bulletins per year per interest group, and you may unsubscribe at any time. Users may opt-out of receiving future mailings at any time (see the choice/opt-out section below).

Sharing and Usage 

We will never share, sell, or rent your personal information with third parties for their promotional use.

Security 

We take every precaution to protect the confidentiality and security of your personal information by using industry-recognized security safeguards such as firewalls, coupled with carefully developed security procedures to protect your information from loss, misuse or unauthorized alteration.

Choice/Opt-out 

The City provides users the opportunity to opt-in, opt-out or change preferences via a link in the footer of email messages. These options are made available when you sign-up for our email lists and when email messages are delivered from the City directly. Alternatively, you may contact the City's Manager of Marketing and Communications at 604-598-5785 if you wish to discuss a privacy concern of be immediately removed from a bulletin or interest group list.
